Networking to Increase Efficiency?

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Last week, I attended a conference in Tennessee. I had the opportunity to speak with many different facility directors from all over the state. While chatting, I was reminded of the importance of networking and constantly evaluating your maintenance program for efficiency.

For example, when speaking with one facility director, I explained the concept of integrated compliance management to him. We talked about Soleran’s PM program and EC Tours solution and how they continuously speak to one another on one platform with no need for two completely separate programs. Additionally, I also touched upon one of the newest additions to Soleran’s PM program, the Compliance Dashboard. The Compliance Dashboard is a real-time report card that provides the immediate state of your testing and compliance. The interesting part about our conversation was the director was not aware products were available or provided that level of support at all!

Unfortunately, as facility directors, we are often over-tasked to the point that we become a product of our environment and fail to look for outside-the-box resources. Often, it is just due to a lack of time, not due to a lack of need. This is precisely why it is so important to network with your peers, healthcare societies, and vendors to see what emerging products are available to help increase your facility’s efficiency.

When speaking or doing a presentation, I often mention that regulations are not going to decrease for facility directors, only increase. This isn’t supposed to be a scare tactic. It’s just a fact. Right now, there are 290 elements for Environment of Care. They are increasing in January 2022 with additions to the Water Management Program. The same thing is occurring in the Life Safety Chapter with additional suite requirements.

Reach out to your resources, like Soleran, for help and let them set up a program that will fit your needs. Think about the time you take just following up on compliance. Imagine what it would be like to have a program that enabled you to see everything with the click of a button, including reports attached to each standard, if the testing is completed, or if testing is ready to be completed. How much time would that save you and your staff over one year’s time?

I also suggest networking with your peers on a consistent basis to keep from getting trapped in your environment. Constantly increase your knowledge on products and programs available to you to help balance out duties that may be overwhelming. Your peace of mind will increase and stress level will decrease. We could all use a little more of that.
