Former Joint Commission Life Safety Code Surveyor, Lance Woolf

With over 17 years of healthcare experience, you’ll be in good hands with his award-winning expertise. Former Joint Commission Life Safety Code Surveyor, Lance Woolf, is the lead member of the Soleran mock survey team. He and our account management team walk alongside you during your mock survey to answer any and all questions.

Lance has worked in the healthcare industry for over 17 years holding Senior Director, Director, and Surveyor positions. His expertise in Regulatory Compliance, Engineering, Emergency Preparedness, Safety, Security, Haz-Mat, and Bio-Med has been within Acute Care Hospitals. He also has experience in pandemic situations like H1N1, SARS, Ebola, Zika, and now COVID-19.

Prior to the healthcare industry, Lance was a police officer for seven years, where he focused on emergency preparedness. In the police department, he received FEMA training specializing in emergency response, including active shooter training and bioterrorism.

Lance’s role at Soleran is to work directly with hospitals in assisting them with any facility compliance concerns. Additionally, he will assist facilities in preparing for upcoming Joint Commission surveys by identifying possible findings and using mitigation strategies through a mock survey. In the fast-paced hospital environment, the Soleran mock survey process is an experience that focuses on alleviating issues that consistently arise during a regulatory survey. The result of The Joint Commission's actual evaluation is as minimally intrusive to the organization as possible.
